Literature Text

I gave you my love, but you turned it down,
(I am just a mess, being put in some distress...)
I gave you my love, but you turned it down,
(We went streaking in the park, hunted gypsies after dark...)
I gave you my love, but you turned it down,
(I wish to be a king, so you would be my queen...)
I gave you my love, but you turned it down~...

-
I always wanted my own father, one day he showed up at my door,
I didn't question where he came from, I wasn't lonely anymore,

Soon we did everything together, he let me live in his lair,
I let him grow onto me, I let him sniff at my hair...It's.not.creepy...
-
But then he showed me his "Hellfire", a song of fiery, flame-ish sound,
But now the "Frollophiles" love him, I'm just a face out in the crowd,

I indulged myself into my paintings, to have my emotions in control,
I try to ignore the competition, nobody understands me, He's.not.a villain~

-
I gave you my love, but you turned it down,
(Demented 'Hunchback'-dreams, they never came to be)
I gave you my love, but you turned it down,
(Why are you loving him, he's just perverted, sick and old...)

-
Just take it from me, I know you'll turn around,

Though 'fandom' forbids it, this is kismet,

Say "I do" and seal our souls together,
('My darling witch', our love will last forever,)

-
/Since we're not related, It'll be ok.../

-
So different now from what it seemed,
Now 'Esme' has killed the dream I dreamed...
Solely based on the lyrics of Shereclop Pones' 'My Little Pony - Friendship is Witchcraft'-song "It'll be ok',
a song which describes Twilight Sparkle's "relationship" with her 'brother' Shining Armor...

A lovelorn young woman describes her fantasy of having a father on her own (since her real father left her at an early age),
because after Frollo had taken her in as his own, she had developed romantic feelings for him and dreams about having him as her partner.
She sings about:

- How it came to be, (how she grew up with Frollo),
- How it is, (the hardships of overcoming the competition and her emotions),
- and the dramatic truth about the reality

(since Frollo's love for Esmeralda is pretty canon in here, he is about to marry her, leaving the girl with her heartbroken reveries...)

I apologize, if some parts come off pretty fast or slow in their flow, I tried to adapt them to the original as good as I could
(It would help to sing it to the instrumental version of this song, though I admit, that I only had the 'finished' song as a sample at the time I wrote this)
